Sustainable logistic networks – a mobility initiative for future transport of goods

The German Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology (BMWi) has recently announced the initiative “Sustainable logistic networks – a mobility initiative for future transport of goods”. The initiative follows a comprehensive approach, exceeding the limits between manufacturing, logistics and transport on the one hand, and the different modes of transport on the other. It focuses on exploring innovative methods and instruments for increasing the capability and feasibility of entire logistic networks as well as for enhancing the robustness of supply chains simultaneously.
The call with a funding volume of up to 25 M € is mainly addressed to German projects. In addition, it allows to fund German partners within trans-national projects, involving partners from other European countries/regions (ENT community). In trans-national consortia, the BMWi can only fund German partners. Partners from other countries/regions need to get funding from their respective national/regional programs. The call closure date is 30 November 2011.
The call text (German language only) is available as download.
